For easy movements, buy a one day pass for BTS train. 120 Baht per head. Very worth it.

First Stop after taking a short break in hotel. Take the BTS go to Mo Chit (Chatuchak Market!!!)
Specialty: Street food & a market so huge you need a compass to get around. Sells everything from puppies to clothes. Mostly apparels tho. Get all your souvenirs here. Best place to get them. Only opens on weekends.

Next Stop: Huai Khwang MRT (Have to switch from BTS to MRT in Saladaeng), Somboon Seafood dinner. This station has a super long escalator. I googled the restaurant when I came back and found out that the specialty is crabs!!! Damn, gotta go back there again next time must try. The rest of the stuff is pretty good, not spectacular but pretty good.

Next Stop: A beer tower in a barbeque buffet next to our hotel. Nice open air ambience.

Last Stop: Chicken noodles outside hotel.

Bangkok - Imm Hotel, Sukhumvit. Not a bad choice

1++pm - Picked up our checked in bags. Found my bag completely broken. Went up to the controller desk. He was not surprised as well. First question asked was "is it Air Asia?". I guess it's a common problem with Air Asia. Got the Air Asia crew to entertain me after waiting for about 1/2 hours. Given 3 options:
a) Take a replacement bag (probably worth about RM45)
b) Be paid RM50 for compensation (What kind of STUPID COMPENSATION IS THIS? WHAT IF IT WAS AN LV?)
c) They fix the completely broken bag. (I wonder how they gonna do that)

Chose the obvious choice! a. Was not happy. AIR ASIA SUCKS!!@@ If you have to fly them cos they're cheap, make sure DON'T CHECK IN!

MR. TONY FERNANDEZ, CAN YOU PLEASE DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS "COMMON" PROBLEM??? STOP CRAPPING CUSTOMER SERVICE COS YOU HAVE NONE! (OK, fine I think the Thai cabin crew is very polite and helpful. Kudos to them. BUT the flight back? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA WAT CUSTOMER SERVICE?)

2:01pm (GMT +8) - Got ourselves a nice cozy van to hotel :). We paid:1200 Baht. Found out later, actual price: 600-800 Baht. Owned!

Election posters everywhere. We spotted a rare Corvette on the side. A ruckus broke out in the van. We're so deprived!

2:42pm (GMT +8) Strange hospitality this hotel has. We were greeted by the host of the day, Mr. Johnny of Imm Fusion, Sukhumvit. So cute but smelly.

It's that time of the year again! Time to make next years resolutions and plan how to break them too. Can't wait for my Bangkok trip. Rice is having his X'mas party in his sis's house apparently really tired from laughing and talking the whole day... wow... so much work . Glad his aunt liked my gift and wrapping... well, at least 1 person was made happy this festive season from my hard labour. So happy!!!

This one is for Macy... haven't got the chance to pass it to her yet. I made the bow myself!!! I'm so proud of myself!!! I am, I am! Keith, I know u won't be too happy with this wrapping 'cos it's no big deal compared to your super nice ones. But I did it myself!!!

I like it when people are happy.

So may everyone be super happy this coming X'mas and HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

My new year's resolution:
1) Lose 10kg.
2) Don't work for people. Make money with my own ways.
3) Be happy.
4) Make people happy.
5) Be a better daughter.
6) Be a potential wife.
7) Be optimistic.
8) Wear more false eyelashes.
9) Make up more
10) Meet more people and dance more.

Side note: My world has never felt so small before. But perhaps what Maryann said was true. "Everyone knows everyone in PJ. You can't fuck around. Which sucks!" I mean, what are the odds of finding out that 2 of ur friends/colleagues know your ex's exes and 2 person you know knows his brother and him? It's feels kinda weird.

Bus and lorry operators have to renew their licences annually.

I personally think, it's a great move. I may be wrong, I may not be seeing the full picture, but to my understanding, operators have the responsibility over their drivers. It is not unfair to punish them for their drivers faults.

As far as I am concerned, your employees are ambassadors to your company. Too bad you hired a crappy driver who has no qualms about taking someone's lives with them when they decide to drive like maniacs. If your driver kills someone, it equals to your company killed someone. So wake up! Check your employee's backgrounds before hiring. Geesh, talk about the lack of responsibility.

The extinction of "Responsibility"

I heard about him from my mom, I remember seeing my neighbour caning their kids for trying to ignore him. He used to be everywhere. Now, I miss him tremendously. RIP responsibility"

Gone were the days when responsibility was the rule and passed down teaching to children in the house. From what I see this word is fast becoming non-existent. I used to wonder what parents are teaching children nowadays. But reading the news nowadays, I have begun to understand. It's not that they don't teach their children this, they can't teach their kids what they don't know.

How many times have you seen someone causing damage to public property then walking away pretending nothing happened? For me, a tad bit too many. 2 most recent, an adult with a kid broke a bulb in IKEA then quickly kicked the pieces under the rack then hushed the kid and walked away pretending not to have done anything wrong while the staff and the rest of the public stared shook their heads at him accusingly. A couple accidentally pushing a glass bowl onto floor then quickly walk away. In both situations, I stood and wondered what is freaking wrong with this people? I was brought up to understand, you break it, you pay for it. You don't have to be an Einstein to know that. Yet, ADULTS, do this in front of their kids. What does that do? Are we breeding a selfish society and being proud of it?

The worst case of irresponsibility I have seen today in The Star, Pregnant daughter-in-law and son injured as driver rams into family. Instead of taking responsibility of accidentally knocking down a pregnant woman, the man decided to run and accelarated knocking down this time, the elderly lady and her son who was tending to their already down family member.

What is happening here? Have we evolved so much that we are heading back to where we were before civilization? Is it only in this part of the world or are we humans just generally not that civilized after all. Has all the teachings and learnings from our ancestors gone to the drain? Are we discovering that civilization failed and we need to be cavemen in order to survive? I strive to understand what has gone wrong and why do we act the way we do now?

After my not so successful attempt at crispy cheesecake, which came out totally dry, today I tried brownie.

I admit, I didn't follow the actual recipe kinda made certain changes to it and probably why it didn't turn out as good as it was supposed to. HOWEVER, it is an improvement.

Here's what I did as opposed to what I SHOULD have done.

4 large eggs - did as instructed
1 cup sugar, sifted - did as instructed
1 cup brown sugar, sifted - Used icing sugar instead
8 ounces melted butter - MISTAKENLY USED 1 ounce - BODOH!
11/4 cups cocoa, sifted - ONLY USED 3/4 cup - But already good enough.
2 teaspoons vanilla extract - LEFT OUT ALSO - BEBODOH BETUL!
1/2 cup flour, sifted - did as instructed
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt - did as instructed

Method:

Preheat the oven to 300 degrees F. (170 degrees C.)
Butter and flour an 8-inch square pan.
In a mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, beat the eggs at medium speed until fluffy and light yellow.
Add both sugars. Add remaining ingredients, and mix to combine.
Pour the batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan and bake for 45 minutes.
Check for doneness with the tried-and-true toothpick method: a toothpick inserted into the center of the pan should come out clean.
When it's done, remove to a rack to cool.

There aren't quite that many people who didn't like the super funny Madagascar. I'm pretty sure we were all anticipating this day since the first announcement of the sequel last year.

Madagascar is about a bunch of zoo animals who got stranded in the jungles of Madagascar after being involved in a shipwreck. Where they learn to survive, and behave like real animals while in the midst of it all, learn love. (yawnnnn...). The moral lessons aside, the first instalment turned out super fun with the extremely catch "I like to move it move it" sung by King Julian, aka Ali G.

This anticipated 2nd installment is quite funny, but however fell short. The jokes made were not as entertaining as before, strange couples were revealed and I felt too many emotional cards were played. New interesting characters were introduced ie. Moto-Moto but I thought there could be more to that.

There's the family disgraced emotions, then there's the love emotions, which to me, was too much for an animation. However, Mort is still as irritatingly funny as ever!

Most memorable moments: There's a tie! Mort getting chased by a shark and Moto-Moto shaking his ass to impress Gloria.

Revisiting Hard Rock Cafe

Was at Hard Rock after so...o...o long. It was a good night, but the food weren't as good as I remembered it was 10 years ago. Possibly 'cos I didn't have their specialty. I ordered Bacon cheeseburger, it was really mediocre. Kinda regretted my choice 'cos the first thing I thought of having was the dessert, the hot fudge brownie which, I did not order at all through out the night. Nachos were great tho.

It was sort of a farewell for the whole account, the team, the connections, the relations and of course the slavery. It was kinda awkward at first, you know, like the boss and subordinate dinner thing where people have to watch what they say and not do anything stupid like get drunk and dance on the table and curse your boss no matter how much you might want to. Not that I want to. :p

After some small talk, naturally it got back to talks about work and of course where am I heading to now that I'm leaving. Well my answer is the usual... I'm going on a break and I don't know what I'm doing after... which is true and a little sad. I'm supposed to be going onto a path of discovery. LOL!

Well, like said, it all drifted back to talk of the office, small talks, talk of the office, and back and forth and back and forth until it was time to leave. However, right before we went off our own ways, we were asked to each say 1 thing that we HAD to get off our chest, and 1 thing we are just absolutely grateful for having been on the account.

No one could think of a reason to thank the client for. No one thought they learnt a thing from the client and all in all the concensus was, they sucked... BIG time! But we were all just glad we had each other to wade through these times with. Wouldn't have been easy without the team. Cheers to you guys and may we cross paths again! Love you all! It was one of the greatest times of my life having had the opportunity to work with you all.

How no one else gives a shit about our pain. How we're expected to brave d pain n smile in d eyes of d perpetrator. How we are forced to deal with a circumstances without anything to help us. How it never bothers anyone else that we're in pain. Fact that we were born alone n die alone
